DAY 2 - Masai Mara~ National Reserve
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is renowned for its black-maned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and the rare opportunity to spot the big five during a morning game drive. Some of the cheetahs in the reserve are so accustomed to human presence that they seek shade under vehicles and even climb onto the roof for a better view of potential prey.
For bird enthusiasts, the reserve boasts nearly 500 recorded species, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

The park is now a sanctuary for rhinos, with over 40 black rhinos and 60 white rhinos calling it home. However, the flamingoes remain the star attraction, with nearly 2 million of them creating a breathtaking deep pink band along the lake shore.

DAY 4 - Lake Naivasha National Park
An early morning drive to Lake Naivasha is a breathtaking experience, as it is the highest and most stunning of the Rift Valley lakes. Situated at an elevation of 1910m (6200ft), the water is crystal clear and the lake is surrounded by dense clumps of papyrus, which was once used by ancient Egyptians to make paper. The papyrus serves as a perch for kingfishers and a hiding spot for herons as they search for food.
Lake Naivasha is a paradise for bird watchers, with over 400 species recorded in the area. It is also a popular weekend getaway for Nairobi residents, who flock here to sail, water ski, and fish. Unlike other lakes in the region, Lake Naivasha is too cold for crocodiles, but it is home to a number of hippos.
Along the lake shore, vineyards thrive and produce grapes for the country's burgeoning wine industry. The combination of natural beauty, diverse birdlife, and recreational activities make Lake Naivasha a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

As you venture around the swamps of Ol Okenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok, you will be greeted by lush vegetation featuring yellow-barked acacias and majestic phoenix palms. Take in the beauty of this diverse ecosystem and immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Amboseli National Park.

One of the park's highlights is the renowned Mzima Springs, where an impressive 227.3 million liters of pristine water gushes out of the ground, filtered through porous volcanic rocks. Another fascinating site to explore is the volcanic Chaimu Crater, which is less than 200 years old and made up of black coke.
