The Maasai Mara and Serengeti are two halves of the same ecosystem, so combining Kenya and Tanzania is not only possible — it is the most complete safari in Africa. Allow eight days minimum, ten to twelve ideally, cross at Isebania or Namanga with your drivers handling the paperwork, and travel July to October for the migration or January to March for the Serengeti calving season.

The Isebania and Namanga land borders are straightforward with our drivers handling paperwork on both sides. Flying between Wilson (Nairobi) and Arusha or the Serengeti airstrips saves a full day of driving.

Best months

June to October for the migration and dry-season game viewing across both countries. January to March is superb for the Serengeti calving season in the south.
